| Pakistan The Islamic Republic of Pakistan came into being on August 14, 1947. When the British left India they divided it into two countries, Pakistan and India. Pakistan, nowadays, is a fast progressing country. Pakistan is a beautiful country with more than ten different cultures and languages spoken. The northern mountainous regions of the country are one of the most beautiful regions of the world. The world's second highest mountain in the world, Karakorum-2, is also located there.
